I was invited to sample the unique Mexican Flavours of Rosa Mexicano in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
The restaurant opened recently in the United Arab Emirates and has already 2 branches: one in Mirdiff City Centre and one in Dubai Mall.
I started my adventure with a Frozen Pomegranate Margarita which was so great. I am not a big fan of spicy so it was a great way of cooling. However, I would like to mention that I asked for the food to be mild spicy which was an excellent choice.
Then the waiter came in front of our table to make us the guacamole. He explained in details how to do it and showed us every single detail. He insisted of adding in some jalapenos mild spicy but I was a bit worried of jalapenos because i know that they are usually very spicy. However for the first time, I found that there are jalapenos mild spicy. It was one of the Best Guacamole I have ever eaten till now. It was served with tortilla chips, salsa pasilla de Oaxaca and salsa de tomatillo y habanero. The Salsa de tomatillo y habanero was a first time ever eaten sauce, a smoked spicy barbecue sauce.
“Rosa Mexicano has 37 different types of homemade sauces”.
Then for appetizers, they served us Flantas and Hamachi.
The Flantas are Rolled Crispy Chicken Tacos covered in 2 divine taste salsas, the artisanal pasilla de Oaxaca and salsa verde, with queso fresco and Mexican Sour Cream. It was yummy.
The Hamachi are diced raw cod fish, turkey bacon, serrano chile, arugula and truffle oil. It was delicious but i find it a bit spicy. A must try!
Now Tacos time came, they served us Pescado / Baja Fish.
The tacos are handcrafted artisanal served with corn esquites and red bean beef chorizo chili. The fresh crispy fish was so delicious with the house made slaw and the jalapeno tartar sauce. Recommended to all! I loved it so much!
By reaching here, I was full but still was to come the Quesadilla (half of it chicken and the other half is grilled steak) and the Chicken Fajita called in their Menu Pollo / Grilled Chicken Breast “Skillet Style”.
The Quesadilla was so divine, specially the one with the grilled steak with Chihuahua cheese and served with pico de gallo and a small side of guacamole.
Arriving almost to the end of my adventure, the Pollo was also very good, the Grilled Chicken Breast was served with slow-cooked peppers, Chihuahua cheese, grilled Mexican street corn, red bean chili and warm corn tortillas.
And here comes the friendly restaurant manager and asked us about the food and told us that there is still a dessert on the way. It was the Tres Leches de Zarzamoras / Blackberry Three-Milk Cake: a sour cream pound cake soacked in three milks, topped with blackberry-hibiscus glaze and a toasted meringue.
I was extremely satisfied, the food was amazing. It was the first time I eat such great and tasty Mexican food.
The staff are professional and very kind.
I am going again there shortly to eat again my favourites dishes and to try new dishes.
I recommand it to all readers, friends and family.
If you live in Dubai then you should try it as soon as possible; and if you don’t live in Dubai but planning to visit anytime, make sure to have Rosa Mexicano on your list of restaurants where you will eat in Dubai.
