Farzi Café, a modern spice bistro that serve fusion cuisine opened recently at City Walk 2.
I was invited to try their food.
The restaurant is very nicely decorated and their menu is done in a special way which I loved.
The menu is quite big, plenty of choices to choose. Make sure to be hungry before you go to Farzi.
I was amazed by our waitress Mary, she was explaining us the dishes one by one. She knows all the menu item by item.
The way she was telling us about the dishes made us want these dishes. It shows that she really loves what she is doing.
Well done Mary!
To start, they brought us each a small cup that has a yogurt that stimulate the appetite.
I asked to have my first drink, the Irish Haze.
It is a cold coffee with hazelnut and vanilla.
It is a amazing. you have to try it.
And for my second drink, I took the Ananas Orbits, coconut milk with pineapple, yummy!
As recommended by Mary, we took Tandoori Wild Mushrooms that has the flavor of truffle.
This was the best appetizer for me.
It wasn’t very spicy and there was a smoke coming from the side that has the lovely smell of truffle.
I love the idea of the Chicken Tikka Khurchan Tarts.
In France, we eat a lot of tarts but I never had an Indian flavor tart.
It was exquisite!
The below is the Pita Giolgappas with Couscous Tabbouleh.
What a presentation! Wow…
The pitas are the Indian Chat and you add on them a bit of spicy water or a bit of buttermilk.
A delightful appetizer.
Well done Farzi Café on all you dish presentations.
I am not fan of spicy food, I can handle low spicy only and sometimes mild.
The below Devilled Quail Eggs was very tasty but the rice with chicken were very spicy for me.
Let’s talk about the main courses now.
The Khao Suey with Pan Tossed Summer Vegetables is made of coconut milk and curry.
It was not spicy, this dish is mouthwatering.
And here is the Khao Suey after the mixing, it was so yummy!
The waiter brought us the Chicken Masala in this small London telephone box.
An original way of serving a dish.
I enjoyed eating the Chicken Tikka Masala with Cornish and Crunch Naan.
Now we reached the desserts!
It was the first time that I see a dessert made this way in front of me.
I am not sure about what was the exact ingredients.
It is called Risotto Phirni Oxide.
In the glass jar there is a piece of cream in the shape of a circle.
The waiter then poured on it a bit of nitrogen. The temperature of the nitrogen is −196 °C
The cream freezed in seconds.
Then he continued adding the rest of the items.
It is better when you see it live in front of you.
This is the Risotto after the mix.
The taste is divine.
The Ras Malai Tres Leches was mouthwatering.
Although I was so full, I couldn’t resist. It was so tasty.
A special Baklava! I never ate a Pear Baklava before, it was the first time.
A distinctive taste!
You have to try the food of Farzi Café, you will enjoy it a lot!
Try it and let me know what you ate!
I have to go back there to try the other dishes 🙂
