I was invited to try the Iftar of Horizon Restaurant at Amwaj Rotana Hotel in Jumeirah Beach Residence.
The Iftar Buffet is an Arabic Cuisine Buffet from the different countries of the Middle East.
I recommend you to try the Iftar of Horizon restaurant, not only it has a big choice of dishes but also the quality and taste of food is amazing.
The team is very helpful and friendly and they will make you sure that you are enjoying your dinner.
Different tables set ups.
Ramadan juices to break the fast.
Here is the soup station.
Here is the salad station, you can add the ingredients you like and choose your favorite dressing.
And here is the other salad station, the Fattoush salad, a middle-east salad that you must try.
They will make it in front of you and you can choose your ingredients as well, but it is better to let them make you the original Fattoush.
The Cold Mezze, Tabboule, Vine Leaves, Modardra. Cousous, etc…
Their Tabboule is amazing. One of the best in town.
You must definitely try it.
And here more Cold Mezze, the delicious Hummus and other salads.
You have also to try the Hot Smoked Salmon, it has an exquisite taste.
I also say that it is a must to try it.
Different types of olives.
We are now arriving to the bread section, you can choose from the several types of breads.
And these are 4 types of Raw Honey from Balqees, one of them is Organic Emirati Honey and the others are from Yemen.
Balqees Raw Honey is the best honey in the Middle East and for me it is the best honey in the world.
My favorite one is the Raw Yemeni Honey Doaani.
Zaatar and cheese manakish, yummy so fresh.
Now let me talk to you about the Cheese Corner.
You have several types of French cheeses, and you can see behind them jars.
I chose a few of them to eat.
I was so amazed from the taste that I called the Chef to give me more details about few of them.
The first jar is Nabulsi Cheese in olive oil with pomegranate molasses, another one is cheddar cheese with some other dressings.
There are also some labne balls with different flavors.
You shouldn’t miss the Cheese Corner, make sure to keep enough space to be able to try the most.
They have a Live Liver Station.
Grilled Beef and Shish Taouk.
The Famous Lamb Ouzzi.
Fried Kebbe, Meat Samboussek, Falafel, etc…
Middle East traditional dishes.
My favorite is the Kebbe with Laban.
And they also have a sea food tajine that is divine!
The Emirati Corner, if you haven’t tried Emirati cuisine, then it is your chance to try it.
The Palace of Desserts.
You have some Turkish Delights and some high quality premium fruits.
Here you can see a selection of Arabic sweets and some cakes.
Don’t forget to try the nut ball, it has a heavenly taste.
They were very tempting so I tried most of them.
And here you have individual ice creams.
You have strawberry and pineapple sticks; and cups of ice cream with Ramadan flavors, like Um Ali flavor, Mastika flavor, etc…
Also they had a specialty of Lebanon, Syria, Egypt, etc… called the Sahlab, it is liquid, you have to add to it cinnamon powder and/or coconut flakes.
And on the side they have several types of Katayef.
