The New Café Belge Alfresco Brunch Puts Vintage Glamor Back on the Menu.
I was invited to try the new brunch of the Café Belge at the Ritz Carlton DIFC.
Inspired by the golden era of 1920s Brussels, the Café Belge Alfresco Brunch plays on the vintage glamor synonymous with the time and introduces some fun new twists, including open-air dining on the garden terrace.
Guests can to choose to experience brunch from the elegant restaurant, spacious air-conditioned terrace or – new this season – outside in the urban garden. Once seated, expect a decadent stream of classic Belgian cuisine served sharing style.
I was impressed by the restaurant decoration, the music, the food, everything was super!
Nothing was missing to make you happy!
You can go there as a couple or with friends and you will enjoy a lot.
The show-stopping signature fruits de mer (seafood platter), piled high with fresh lobster, oysters and winkles, and served with a side of creamy Belgian mayonnaise, is merely the start and is followed by an array of hors d’oeuvres, main courses and desserts.
The journey begins from the moment guests’ sweep through the ornate iron doors, with the 1920s flair evident from the striking Art Deco and Art Nouveau décor, while the live saxophonist and DJ set the scene with a combination of classic and contemporary jazz.
Let’s start with the appetizers!

Followed by this mouthwatering Tuna Tartar, with Potato Chips and Belgian Mayonnaise.

Handcut Beef Tartare prepared in front of us.
I didn’t eat from the beef tartare as I don’t eat completely raw meat.
Our friends who were with us liked it a lot!
The Oyster Shucker was going from table to table checking who wants to eat oysters.
Once you tell her that you want one, she will open it in front of you and you choose what you want to add on it, lemon, vinegar or tabasco.
That’s the Oyster she opened for me.
It was the best ever oyster I ate till now. A very high quality of Oysters!
We are now arriving to the main courses.
Here is the famous Belgian Mussels.
Moules Champagne Cream with on the side fries and mayonnaise.
Also the best ever Mussels I ate so far in Dubai.
They are the No.1 Mussels in Dubai.
I know where I will go to eat mussels now 🙂
Slow Cooked Short Ribs sliced in front of us by the friendly Romain who is from Belgium.
Grilled Salmon, light bisque, white asparagus, smoked croutons
Braised Chicken, salsify and confit lemon
Seared Sea Bass, saffron nage, capsicum and bacon
Gratin Potato, chimay cheese
Vegetable Ratatouille, tomato sauce (not in the picture)
As you can see a lot of main courses, we tried all the dishes except the chicken as we were so full.
They were all tasty but my favorite was the salmon, a heavenly taste.
Now reaching the last part, Desserts.

One with chocolate cream and the other with caramel cream, and I sliced Belgian milk chocolate on them.
