My dear friends and readers,
I went last Saturday to have the Iftar at Channels restaurant located at the Lobby Level of Media Rotana Hotel in Barsha Heights.
The price of the Iftar is AED 180 per person and it is really worth the price.
They have a very big selection of appetizers, main courses and desserts.
They even had sushi!
Here are some of the appetizers: Tabboule, hummus, labne balls, salads, etc…
Then you have the soup station where you have the traditional lentil soup and in addition to that they had a cream of eggplant soup.
Most people were taking from the lentil soup but some of them were trying the eggplant soup.
It was worth the try!
Also you have a seafood section with the mussels, crabs and shrimps.
The Sushi section for sushi lovers 🙂
A fresh selection of bread!
Am crazy about cheese, this is what I can never resist.
The brie cheese was very soft and smooth, yum!
The hot mezze were amazingly tasty.
From the makanek, chicken liver, fatayer, kebbe, cheese rolls, mashed potato, so delicious!
And the famous lamb ouzi.
Juicy and mouthwatering!
There was a lot of maincourses but I haven’t take picture of everything, otherwise I will have more than 50 pictures.
There was a lot of home dishes, like laban emo, kafta bel saynie, spinach with meat, etc…
In the below picture, you can see the quiche, the chicken with rice, the mixed grills and the stuffed zucchini and eggplant.
I am now reaching the dessert station!
They had a very big choices of desserts from Arabic to international.
The red velvet cheese cake was to die for.
I tried also a brown sugar date cake and it was divine!
Below are the Arabic sweets!
And there was as usual the Um Ali and Kunafa; and an Ice cream and a chocolate foutain stations.
A zoom on the cakes that I liked a lot.
Presentation and taste!
I highly recommend you to try the Iftar at Channels.
Please call and book in advance.
