My dear readers, today I will share with you a Lebanese Restaurant called Baydar that I tried on Saturday for lunch.
Baydar is located on the Level 1 next to the Food Court of Al Barsha Mall.
It has a very cozy seating with a very nicely decorated restaurant.
Let me tell you about my experience.
I started with this Fruit Cocktail.
The picture speaks about itself -)
Then they got us freshly made Lebanese bread.
It is amazing when you can eat fresh bread!
So let me start telling you now about the Cold and Hot Mezzeh that I ate.
The Tabboule was just amazing, I was impressed by its taste!
The Fried Kebbe was nice as well.
The Samosas they had are very original because they are filled either with meat or chicken shawarma, that is the first time i see someone doing Shawarma with samosa.
Meat Shawarma Samosa or Chicken Shawarma Samosa!
I loved the idea!
The Hummus was looking amazing but it had something missing to its taste, it needed a bit more of tahina and lemon.
I have informed the chef about it.
Then we ordered a Cheese and Zaatar Manakish.
It was tasty but I would have preferred that the zaatar (thyme) would be as per the original zaatar manakish with oil.
The Rocca Zaatar Salad was so fresh and light!
The Makanek with Pomegranate Molasses and the Chicken Livers with Pomegranate Molasses were mouthwatering and very tasty.
But I would have preferred if it had more pomegranate molasses on it…
The Lahm Bi Ajin, meat on dought was nice.
The Mixed Grills were so tasty.
I loved so much the Arayes, minced meat in bread.
The Beef and Chicken skewers were so flavorful and very tender.
A must try!
Do we still have space for dessert?
There is always place for something sweet 🙂
I ate this Cheese Konafa and this is the konafa I like the most!
The Um Ali was very sweet, I would have preferred if it had less sugar and a bit more thick.
If you live in Al Barsha area or if you want to try a new place, you should go to Baydar and try their delicious Lebanese Cuisine.
